“ My family and I arrived here Sunday about an hour before closing and were welcomed in as soon as we opened the door. Upon entering it's like we took a step back in time. The vibe was definitely a soda shop/milkshake fountain atmosphere. I love supporting local businesses in and around my area and this place did not disappoint. We were a group of 5 and we had burgers, fries or the deluxe salad. Let me just say this, if you have never had their fries you MUST get an order of them. The fries have a unique crispy coating to them and are addictive to say the least. As soon as my fiance fed me a fry I instantly regretted my salad order lol. The salads were good and I like the fact they use shredded lettuce. The food was great but the service was even better. The prices were reasonable. A family of 5 ate for 60 including the 15% gratuity so not too bad. The dessert menu is located at the milkshake counter near the guest book for all visitors to sign. I definitely will be back. ”
“ #We3Neals had a wonderful time visiting Tanners Historic Cafe in Wartburg, TN. What a fantastic place! The history is simply amazing, and we love it when families and cities take the time to preserve that history and then pass along the story! The atmosphere is nostalgic and inviting. The staff was fabulous, helpful, and welcoming. The food was exactly as expected ... delicious! Collectively, we ate the Tanners Club, The Hillbilly Dog & The Bacon Cheeseburger. All were very tasty, and came out promptly. This is a must stop spot if you're in the area or if you live close, make sure to drop in and support them. ”

“ What an awesome find. The service, food and atmosphere was spot on. I can’t wait to visit when I am in area again. I was looking for breakfast but was a little late for that, the lunch menu made up for that though. Sit at the bar for the full experience, strike up a conversation or two. ”
“ Definitely one of the best burgers I have had in a long time! The staff was friendly and very attentive! ”
“ We went up to Wartburg this afternoon shopping for memorial day flowers and decided to have lunch at Tanner's Historic Cafe. They have sandwiches, hamburgers and cheeseburgers. I had the cheeseburger and onion rings. They were both awesome. I swiped a fry and they are great as well. Either is a good choice. They also had a special with mashed potatoes and hamburger steak. It looked really good. The atmosphere was very nice. The staff was very helpful and friendly. ”
“ We stopped here right at noon when they opened. it got crowded right away. It is a historic building and mini museum. I had a cheeseburger and fries which were very good. My wife had dessert and she enjoyed it.. ”
